This 2004 Chevrolet SSR is finished in Smokin’ Asphalt over Ebony leather, and power is provided by a 5.3-liter V8 linked to a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a power-folding hardtop, satin chrome running boards, wood cargo floor rub strips, integrated side-saddle cargo area storage, a sport suspension, heated power-adjustable twin bucket seats, remote keyless entry, cruise control, and air conditioning.
The SSR was built on a modified version of the GMT360 platform shared with the contemporary TrailBlazer SUV, and its styling was inspired by the Chevrolet Advance Design family of trucks. This example is finished in Smokin’ Asphalt with a color-matched hardshell tonneau cover and a power-retractable hardtop. Additional features include flush-mounted halogen headlights bisected by a satin-finished chevron bar as well as flush-mounted taillights, power-operated heated side mirrors, integrated satin chrome running boards, and dual polished exhaust tips. The carpeted cargo bed is accented with wood strips and features integrated side-saddle cargo area storage.
Silver-finished 19″ front and 20″ rear five-spoke cast-aluminum wheels are mounted with 255/45 front and 295/40 rear Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires. The SSR was equipped from the factory with a ZQ8 sport suspension featuring an independent front and five-link solid-axle rear setup with front and rear stabilizer bars. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel ventilated disc brakes.
The twin heated and power-adjustable high-back bucket seats are upholstered in Ebony leather. Body-color wraparound trim accents the cabin, while satin chrome trim adorns the dash, center console, and door panels. Amenities include a color-keyed waterfall console as well as an AM/FM/CD stereo, air conditioning, and cruise control.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames SSR-branded instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure.
The 5.3-liter Vortec 5300 V8 was factory rated at 300 horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in preparation of the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential.
