This 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser HZJ75 is a right-hand-drive example that was outfitted for fire service in Japan before it was imported to the US in 2021 and further modified. Finished in red over gray vinyl, the truck has a bed with removable side panels and a tan soft top along with a roof rack, a two-inch suspension lift kit, power steering, and 16″ steel wheels. Power is provided by a 4.2-liter 1HZ diesel inline-six fitted with a Kinugawa turbocharger, ARP head studs, a PDI intercooler, a PDI airbox, and a Terrain Tamer radiator. Other features include a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, air conditioning, an aftermarket sound system, and a rearview camera mirror in addition to a custom fuel tank and a three-inch exhaust system.
The high-roof body is finished in red with contrasting graphics and features a bed with a tan soft top and removable side panels. Other exterior features include an LED light bar, a Rhino-Rack roof rack, a hitch receiver, and fender-mounted mirrors.
The 16″ steel wheels are mounted with 235/85 Falken Wildpeak A/T3W tires, and a matching spare is located in the bed. A Dobinsons two-inch suspension lift kit with replacement leaf springs, shocks, and anti-inversion shackles was installed under previous ownership according to the seller. The truck is equipped with Aisin manually locking front hubs, the seller notes that an EPAS Performance hydroelectric power steering system was added in 2023. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes, and a dual-diaphragm brake booster is fitted.
The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in gray vinyl that extends to the door panels. The seller notes that the truck has been fitted with air conditioning, an under-seat storage compartment, a Wolfbox rearview camera mirror, aftermarket speakers, and a touchscreen head unit with wireless smartphone connectivity.
The steering wheel fronts a 170-km/h speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary readouts. A gauge pod is affixed to the dashboard. The six-digit odometer shows 27k kilometers (~17k miles).
The 4.2-liter 1HZ diesel inline-six was fitted with a Kinugawa Turbo Systems turbocharger, a PDI intercooler, a PDI airbox, and a Terrain Tamer radiator under current ownership according to the seller. The cooling system has been rerouted, and the ACSD system has been removed. Work in 2024 is said to have included replacing the cylinder head and cylinder head gasket and adding ARP head studs as well as installing a CMS4x4 radiator upgrade kit and performing an oil change.
Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. A three-inch exhaust and a custom fuel tank have been installed according to the seller. The transmission fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale.
