This 1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic with faux-woodgrain trim and is powered by a 360ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Work on this vehicle included a conversion to Howell fuel injection, reupholstering the seats in tan vinyl and patterned cloth, retrimming the headliner and steering wheel, overhauling the air conditioning system, installing a Pioneer CD stereo, and refurbishing the tailgate power window mechanism. Features include a roof rack, 15″ multi-spoke alloy wheels, power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, and a retractable cargo cover.
The SJ Wagoneer debuted in 1962 and remained in production through the 1991 model year, by which time it was known as the Grand Wagoneer. This one is finished in Midnight Blue Metallic with faux-woodgrain trim, and the roof and hood were repainted under prior ownership. Exterior details include a roof rack, ROL fog lights, dual power-operated mirrors, a hood ornament, a receiver hitch, and a rear window washer and wiper.
Factory 15″ alloy wheels are mounted with 235/75 Hankook Optimo thin whitewall tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The power-adjustable front seats and rear bench were reupholstered in tan vinyl with brown houndstooth centers under current ownership, and the headliner was also replaced at that time. Woodgrain trim accents the dashboard and door panels, and additional interior details include air conditioning, power windows, and power door locks in addition to a Final Edition badge, a retractable cargo cover, a Pioneer CD stereo with Bluetooth capability, and an overhead console with a digital thermometer and compass. Sound damping material has been applied under the headliner, and the air conditioner and tailgate power window mechanism were overhauled by Wagonmaster in 2020.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted on a tilt-adjustable column and sits ahead of a 100-mph speedometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage.
The 360ci V8 is equipped with Howell fuel injection and was factory rated at 140 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Work under current ownership included flushing the coolant and replacing the radiator, coolant hoses, rear main seal, muffler, and battery cables. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a Selec-Trac four-wheel-drive system using a shift-on-the-fly dual-range transfer case with a viscous coupling.
A window sticker will accompany the truck along with an owner’s manual, factory shop manuals, a Howell EFI manual, service records dating to 2000, a woodgrain cooler and tumbler, and a removed factory cassette stereo.
