This 1974 Jensen-Healey Mk II roadster was built in June 1974 and is finished in black with a removable black vinyl hardtop over a tan vinyl interior. Power is provided by a 2.2-liter stroker inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission, and equipment includes a black soft top, a roll bar, driving lamps, sway bars, gas shocks, a replacement exhaust system, and an electronic ignition. Service during previous ownership is said to have included rebuilding the brakes, and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
The car is finished in black with a vinyl-covered black removable hardtop underpinned by an Autopower roll bar. Other exterior features include driving lamps, dual side mirrors, black bumpers with chrome aLents, and a black soft top that is shown raised in the photo gallery below. Close-up images show tears and patches in the top as well as blemishes in the paint that include cracks, scratches, chips, and dings. A boot cover is included in the sale.
Factory 13″ alloy wheels with Jensen castings are wrapped in Sumitomo HTR 200 tires showing 2002 date codes. A refresh of the brakes during previous ownership is said to have included replacement of the rotors, the master and wheel cylinders, and the pads. Front and rear sway bars were also added, as were KYB gas shocks.
The cabin features vinyl-upholstered tan bucket seats with matching door panels and carpeting. The black center console and dashboard have woodgrain trim that is peeling around the glovebox lock. Amenities include adjustable head restraints, a heater, a Jaeger clock, and a Craig AM/FM cassette stereo.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer flanked by auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 75k miles, approximately 50 of which have been added under current ownership; true mileage is unknown.
The 2.2-liter stroker engine is based on a 1,973L Lotus Type 907 twin-cam slant-four and is equipped with a pair of Zenith-Stromberg 175 CD-2 carburetors, an MSD electronic ignition, and a replacement exhaust system. The oil was changed in spring 2021 in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Additional photos of the underbody presented in the gallery depict undercoating as well as corrosion on some components.
