The exterior was reportedly refinished in its factory shade of Polaris Neu in approximately 2010, and additional equipment includes chrome bumpers and trim, a manually-operated sunroof, a front air dam, dual side mirrors, and round tail lights.
“Bottle cap” 14″ alloy wheels are mounted with 195/55 Toyo Proxes T1R tires, and a matching spare mounted with a Michelin tire is located under the trunk floor. Stopping power is provided by Volvo-sourced front disc brakes paired with rear drums, a quick-ratio steering box has been installed, and the seller notes that the ride height has been lowered using modified suspension components.
The seats have been reupholstered in black vinyl and are paired with matching door panels and salt-and-pepper carpeting. Equipment includes a leather shift knob and manual wind-up windows, and the seller reports that the Blaupunkt cassette stereo and Frigiking air-conditioning system are currently inoperative.
The wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel wears a BMW center cap and frames VDO instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges that extend into the center of the dash. The five-digit odometer is believed to have rolled over and shows 34k miles. True mileage is unknown.
The replacement M10 inline-four was installed by Eurauto Inc. of Cincinnati, Ohio, during previous ownership. The crankshaft was machined and the engine was rebuilt to displace 2.2 liters, and additional equipment includes a high-lift camshaft, dual Mikuni side-draft carburetors, an aftermarket exhaust header, and an E21-sourced radiator equipped with an electric fan. A strut tower brace is installed in the engine bay, and an oil change was recently performed according to the seller.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through an E21-sourced five-speed manual transmission paired with a limited-slip differential.
