This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was refurbished and modified by County Corvette of West Chester, Pennsylvania, as part of a multi-year build completed in 2023. The project involved customizing and fitting the fiberglass bodywork over a Street Shop chassis as well as installing a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 crate engine and a Tremec six-speed manual transmission. The car is finished in Brandywine with a contrasting gray front splitter and rear diffuser and features a body-color removable hardtop along with hideaway aftermarket headlights and a side-exit exhaust system. The custom chassis utilizes C4 Corvette suspension components along with QA1 adjustable coilovers, power-assisted disc brakes, a Flaming River power steering rack, a limited-slip differential, and 18″ US Mags alloy wheels. Inside, the bucket seats are trimmed in black leather and accompanied by a split-spoke steering wheel, a Sikky shifter, Dakota Digital instrumentation, Vintage Air air conditioning, and an aftermarket stereo.
The car was fitted with custom bodywork and repainted in House of Kolor Brandywine as part of the aforementioned build. The front lip spoiler, rear diffuser, side-exhaust treatments, and bumpers have been painted in a contrasting gray metallic finish, while the removable hardtop is finished to match the body. The convertible top has been removed, and further details include an eggcrate front grille, a domed hood, and hideaway aftermarket headlights.
The car rides on a Street Shop chassis that utilized C4 Corvette suspension components along with adjustable QA1 coilovers at all four corners. The 18″ US Mags alloy wheels feature gray centers with polished rims and are mounted with 245/40 front and 255/45 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. A Flaming River power rack-and-pinion steering kit has been installed, and the four-wheel disc brake system incorporates a Wilwood master cylinder as well as later model Corvette calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors.
The cabin houses two bucket seats upholstered in black leather as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Vintage Air air conditioning has been added along with a retro-style digital media receiver connected to Pioneer speakers.
The split-spoke steering wheel is paired with a Sikky shifter fitted with an American Powertrain knob. Dakota Digital HDX instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer along with a centrally mounted clock and auxiliary gauges.
The 6.2-liter LS376/525 V8 crate engine is equipped with an ASA camshaft and wears painted intake manifold and engine cover treatments. A short-ram intake is also installed along with a DeWitts aluminum radiator and an electric puller fan.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip rear differential. The chassis has been powdercoated black.
