This 1967 Jaguar Mk II was sold new to its first owner in Larchmont, New York. Recommissioning after a period of storage included fluid changes, rebuilding the carburetors and generator, and replacement of the tires, tie rods, and battery. It is finished in off-white over black leatherette and powered by a 3.4-liter inline-six linked with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes four-wheel disc brakes, body-color 15″ steel wheels with hubcaps, front bucket seats, a heater, and a Blaupunkt push-button radio.
The car left the factory finished in Valentine Beige and was repainted approximately two decades ago. Exterior equipment includes a Leaper hood ornament, a pop-up cowl vent, and chrome wraparound bumpers with overriders as well as a chrome grille, window surrounds, trim, and dual exhaust outlets.
The body-color 15″ steel wheels feature hubcaps and wear 185-width Vredestein Sprint Classic tires that were mounted under current ownership. The car was factory equipped with an independent front suspension and a cantilevered live rear axle. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The cockpit features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black leatherette upholstery along with color-coordinated replacement carpets. The burl walnut veneers were refinished under previous ownership, and interior equipment includes a heater, front and rear vent windows, front and rear lap belts, and a push-button Blaupunkt radio.
The two-spoke steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and centrally positioned auxiliary gauges displaying water temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage.
The 3.4-liter XK inline-six was factory rated at 210 horsepower and 213 lb-ft of torque.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
