This 1955 GMC 100 pickup is a refurbished and modified example that was acquired by the current owner in October 2020. The truck is powered by a 502ci V8 with electronic fuel injection paired with a Hughes-built 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and has been refinished in Magnum Moca Metallic over custom saddle brown leather. Features include a tailgate and front sheet metal from a 1957 Chevrolet, chrome 20″ Foose wheels, four-wheel power disc brakes, a 4-link rear suspension with coilovers, Edelbrock cylinder heads, power steering, air conditioning, power windows, a painted bed floor, and a Bluetooth audio system with two Kicker subwoofers. Since acquiring the truck the seller has had the tires replaced, power brakes upgraded, tilt steering column installed, and the engine tuned.
The truck was refinished in Magnum Moca Metallic during previous ownership. Features include a tailgate and front sheet metal from a 1957 Chevrolet pickup, chrome bumpers and trim, drip rails, a painted bed floor, dual exhaust outlets, dual exterior mirrors, and circular taillights.
The 20″ Foose wheels are wrapped in 265/40 front and 275/40 rear Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season tires. The suspension has been modified with adjustable QA1 coilovers at all four corners with a 4-link rear setup. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel power disc brakes, and the truck is equipped with power steering.
The cabin features custom saddle brown leather upholstery with a matching console, headliner, door panels, sun visors, and carpets. Interior equipment includes a body-colored dash and machined components as well as a custom center console with cup holders, Vintage Air air conditioning, a Fast XFI computer display, a concealed Bluetooth stereo, and Kicker subwoofers mounted behind the bench seat. The seller notes the console is removable.
The billet steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column and frames a 140-mph speedometer that sits below coolant temperature, amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 2,500 miles, approximately 250 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The fuel-injected 502ci V8 is said to have been modified with Edelbrock cylinder heads and features individual throttle bodies with velocity-stacks, custom headers, Accel electronic ignition, ceramic plug wires, Chevrolet molded valve covers, an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, billet dress-up parts, and a power steering pump. The truck is said to have been tuned in preparation for sale. The seller states that the truck idles at 210-220 degrees when the ambient temp is over 90 degrees.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Hughes-built 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission and 9″ Ford rear axle.
