Refurbishment work under previous ownership on this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette coupe is said to have included re-trimming the interior in white and black, overhauling the two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, and replacing the windshield. Power is provided by a 327ci V8, and the car is equipped with air conditioning, an AM/FM radio, power windows, side exhaust pipes, split chrome bumpers, and 15″ turbine style wheels with redline tires.
The fiberglass body was originally finished in Ermine White (972), and it was reportedly repainted in 2021. Features include a curved glass rear window, a domed hood, retractable headlights, chrome split bumpers, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, and a side-exit exhaust system with heat shields. The windshield was replaced in September 2020.
The turbine-style 15″ wheels are mounted with Coker Classic redline radial tires. This example is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs. The C2 was equipped with independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The rear spring hardwear and bushings were changed in July 2020 along with the upper and lower ball joints.
The cabin features two bucket seats accompanied by color-coordinated door panels as well as black carpets and trim. Amenities include air conditioning, a heater, a vertical push-button AM/FM radio, power windows, lap belts, and an analog clock located in the center stack. The interior was refreshed in 2020 and 2021 with replacement upholstery, carpets, and trim. The air conditioning system was recharged in preparation for the sale.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 44k miles.
The 327ci V8 is equipped with a single four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 300 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque.
The engine stamping is shown above. The HO suffix corresponds with a 300-horsepower, 327ci V8 for use with an automatic transmission.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, which was overhauled in July 2020.
