This 1959 Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite is a right-hand-drive example that is finished in Riviera Blue over tan upholstery and powered by a 1,275cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. The car was refinished in its current shade of Riviera Blue during previous ownership. A tan soft top and bikini top are included in the sale, along with side curtains and a black tonneau cover. Additional features include reproduction Lucas tri-bar headlight housings with LED bulbs, LED taillights, wing windows, and chrome rear bumperettes.
Chrome-finished 13″ knock-off wire wheels are wrapped in 155/80 Goodride Raduak SP06 tires. The car is equipped with front disc brakes, and the brake lines were replaced during prior ownership. Spridget LeMans rear shocks have been installed and one of the leaf springs was previously replaced.
The seating surfaces are upholstered in tan with Austin-Healey logo embroidery on the backrests. Features include black carpets, front rubber floor covers, and lap belts. A battery disconnect switch has been added below the dashboard and a fire extinguisher is mounted below the passenger seat.
A leather-wrapped Moto-Lita steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer and a tachometer. The five-digit odometer indicates 4k miles. True mileage is unknown.
The 1,275cc inline-four was installed during prior ownership and is equipped with a Sport exhaust system, an aluminum valve cover, a Bug Eye Guy alternator disguised as a generator, a spin-on oil filter adapter, and an electronic ignition module. The seller states an oil change and ignition system tune-up have been performed during current ownership, while the fuel lines were replaced previously.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a “ribcase” four-speed manual transmission.
