This 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible is powered by a 500ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transaxle and finished in maroon over a maroon and white interior. The car’s amenities include steel 15″ wheels with painted covers, air conditioning, cruise control, a power-adjustable split-bench front seat, electric windows, and a modern Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo. The power-operated white soft top that was replaced in 2020 along with a new motor, relay, rear rain gutter cover, top well liner, and convertible top pads. The car was acquired by the seller in 2019, and subsequent service included replacement of the power steering pump, pulley, hoses, and front steering gear. The seller also replaced a power steering line and two tires, had a tune up, an oil change, and an alignment performed, and replaced the battery. The distributor was replaced and the transmission fluid changed in preparation for the sale.
The 224″-long car comes from the convertible model’s final year of production and was refinished in maroon under prior ownership. The car features a bright metal windshield frame, quad rectangular headlights, and chrome bumpers. The power-operated white soft top was replaced in 2020 together with a new motor. A hole in the floor above the catalytic converter was repaired with a steel plate, sealant, and paint in May 2020.
Factory 15″ steel wheels feature body-colored wheel covers and wear Hankook Optimo H724 whitewall tires, two of which were installed in May 2020. An alignment was performed at that time. Equipment includes power-assisted steering and four-wheel disc brakes.
The interior features a power-operated split-bench front seat custom-trimmed in two-tone maroon and white upholstery with a matching rear bench seat, door panels, and carpets. Woodgrain trim accents the door panels and the red dashboard, while additional amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, lap belts, power windows and door locks, and a modern Kenwood stereo with a CD player.
Instrumentation includes a 100-mph horizontal-sweeping speedometer and a five-digit odometer showing 86k miles.
The 500ci V8 was factory rated at 190 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque.
Power is transferred to the front wheels through a three-speed automatic transaxle.
