This 2004 Land Rover Discovery II G4 is one of 200 examples produced and is finished in Tangiers Orange over a Black Mogul interior. Power is provided by a 4.6-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission and dual-range transfer case. Features include G4 decals, a factory cross-rail roof rack, front and rear sunroofs, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. The truck was first registered in New York before being purchased by the seller in 2012 and relocated to Connecticut. Under current ownership, the engine has reportedly been rebuilt, and the oil pump and radiator were replaced.
The truck is finished in Tangiers Orange (761) with G4 Challenge Edition decals. Equipment includes a roof rack, a rear-mounted ladder, taillight cages, a tow shackle, alpine windows, and a model-specific G4 spare wheel cover. The seller states that the hinge on the rear swing door has been replaced and that a blemish in the rear plastic bumper as well as a roof dent have been repaired. Corrosion is visible on the window frames and bottom of the rear cargo door.
Silver 16″ alloy wheels are fitted with 265/70 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac tires showing 2014 date codes. The brake fluid was changed and the brake lines and hoses were replaced with copper-nickel alloy tubing in November 2020.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench seat upholstered in G4 Challenge Edition Black Mogul upholstery. Amenities include an AM/FM/CD stereo, power front seats, cruise control, and front and rear sunroofs. The seller has added a matching jump seat equipped with a seatbelt, grab handle, and headrest in the cargo area.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer shows 157k miles.
The 4.6-liter V8 was factory rated at 217 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. The engine was reportedly rebuilt in 2012 with Top Hat cylinder liners, and the coolant was flushed in November 2020.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The transmission fluid and differential fluid were reportedly changed in November 2020. The seller reports that Waxoil has been applied to the underbody.
